Important Housing Dates
SUMMER 2009
All summer school check ins and check outs take place in the East Area Office.
May 15, 10:00 am - 5:00 p.m. - Summer Session I residents check in
May 22, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Summer Session II residents check in
June 15, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m - CNU Apartment residents with 2008-2009 contracts check out
June 19, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m - Summer Session I residents check out
June 30 - Last day for incoming Freshmen to cancel Housing Contract with $100 refund and to request roommates. CNU Village residents with 2007-2008 contracts check out.
July 1, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - CNU Apartment residents (except Jefferson) can start to check in.
July 3, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Summer Session III residents check in
July 15, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - CNU Village residents can start to check in
July 31, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Summer Session II residents check out
August 7, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m - All Summer Housing residents check out
FALL SEMESTER 2009
June 30 - Last day for incoming Freshmen to cancel Housing Contract with $100 refund and to request roommates. CNU Village residents with 2007-2008 contracts check out.
August 18 & 19 , 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. - Freshmen move in days - refer to move in information for assigned times.
August 22 & 23, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. - Returning student move in days (including Jefferson students) - first meal served is Sunday night.
August 24, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Last day to change or cancel a meal plan for Fall Semester – Freshmen must have a 14 or 19 meal plan.
September 7 - Begin room change period – students can fill out a room change request form at their front desk or contact their Hall Director.
October 10 - October 13 - Fall Recess – All students may stay on campus. Dining Halls are closed.
October 28 - Last day for students who withdraw from CNU to receive prorated housing and dining refunds.
November 20 - Last day to request room change until spring semester.
November 25, 12:00 p.m.
All residence and dining halls are closed. Last meal served is dinner on November 24th. Students living in CNU Village, CNU Apartments and University owned houses may remain on campus.
November 29, 12:00 p.m. - All residence halls open and first meal severed Sunday night dinner.
December 12, 12:00 p.m.
All residence and dining halls are closed. Last meal served Friday, December 11th at Noon. Check out for students not returning to CNU, including apartment residents. Only students living in CNU Village, CNU Apartmentsand with 10 or 12 month leases may remain on campus.
SPRING SEMESTER 2010
January 9, 12:00 p.m. & January 10, 8:00 a.m.- All residence halls open with the first meal served Sunday night.
January 11 , 8:00 am – 5:00 p.m. - Last day to change meal plan for spring semester.
January 15 - 0910 Housing Lottery Guidelines (returning student room sign-up) available on line. Paper copies available in the Office of University Housing.
January 25 - Begin Spring room change period.
February 26 - April 2 - Housing Lottery (returning student room sign-up), please refer toHousing Lottery Guidelines for specific deadlines and information.
February 27- March 7 - Spring Recess – All residence and dining halls are closed. Last meal served is dinner February and first meal served is dinner March 7th. Students living in the Village, CNU Apartments and University owned houses may remain on campus..
March 19 - Last day to request a room change for spring semester.– Last day for students who withdraw from CNU to receive prorated housing and dining refunds.
May 9, 12:00 p.m. - All residence and dining halls close. Last meal served is Friday, May 8 at Noon.
May 17, 12:00 p.m. - All students participating in commencement move out of the residence halls. CNU Village and CNU Apartment residents can retain their rooms until the contract expires.
