Important Housing Dates
SUMMER 2008
All summer school check ins and check outs take place in the East Area Office located in Barclay 53.
May 16, 10:00 am - 5:00 p.m. - Summer Session I residents check in
May 24 , 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Summer Session II residents check in
June 15 - CNU Apartment residents with 2007-2008 contracts check out
June 20 - Summer Session I residents check out
June 30 - Last day for incoming Freshmen to cancel Housing Contract with $100 refund and to request roommates. CNU Village residents with 2007-2008 contracts check out.
July 1, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - CNU Apartment residents (except Monroe) can start to check in.
July 6, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Summer Session III residents check in
July 15, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - CNU Village residents can start to check in
August 1, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Summer Session II residents check out
August 8 - Summer Housing residents check out
FALL SEMESTER 2008
August 19 & 20, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. - Freshmen move in days - refer to move in information for assigned times.
August 23 & 24, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. - Returning student move in days (including Monroe students) - first meal served is Sunday night.
August 25, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Last day to change or cancel a meal plan for Fall Semester – Freshmen must have a 14 or 19 meal plan.
September 8 - Begin room change period – students can fill out a room change request form at their front desk or contact their Hall Director.
October 18 - October 21 - Fall Recess – All students may stay on campus. Dining Halls are closed.
October 29 - Last day for students who withdraw from CNU to receive prorated housing and dining refunds.
November 21 - Last day to request room change until spring semester.
November 26, 12:00 p.m.
All residence and dining halls are closed. Last meal served is dinner on November 25th. Students living in CNU Village, CNU Apartments and University owned houses may remain on campus.
November 30 , 8:00 a.m. - All residence halls open and first meal severed Sunday night dinner.
December 13, 12:00 p.m.
All residence and dining halls are closed. Last meal served Friday at Noon. Check out for students not returning to CNU, including apartment residents. Only students living in the Village and CNU Apartments may remain on campus.
SPRING SEMESTER 2009
January 17, 12:00 p.m. & January 20, 8:00 a.m.- All residence halls open with the first meal served Sunday night.
January 19 , 8:00 am – 5:00 p.m. - Last day to change meal plan for spring semester.
January 23 - 0910 Housing Lottery Guidelines (returning student room sign-up) sent to on-campus student mailboxes.
February 2 - Begin Spring room change period.
March 6 - April 3 - Housing Lottery (returning student room sign-up), please refer to 0910 Housing Lottery Guidelines for specifice deadlines and information.
March 7 - March 15 - Spring Recess – All residence and dining halls are closed. Last meal served is dinner March 6th and first meal served is dinner March 15th. Students living in the Village, CNU Apartments and University owned houses may remain on campus..
March 20 - Last day to request a room change for spring semester.
March 30 – Last day for students who withdraw from CNU to receive prorated housing and dining refunds.
May 9, 12:00 p.m. - All residence and dining halls close. Last meal served is Friday, May 9th at Noon.
May 18, 12:00 p.m. - All students participating in commencement move out of the residence halls. CNU Village and CNU Apartment residents can retain their rooms until the contract expires.
